One strong dude!


Greg's first drive! He's just parked in front of the Ontario Gem Amethyst Mine shop after driving a few kilometers on a dirt road.

This is the entrance to the Ontario Gem Amethyst Mine. The miner's house and shop is behind Greg.

The mine is a quarry cut into a low hill about .5 km behind the shop.

The working level of the quarry. Specimens are coming from the area in the back right of the picture,
where hydrothermal veins cut through the granite. The mineral suite includes amethyst quartz, fluorite, 
barite, calcite, sphalerite and galena. The very rare and beautiful association of yellow fluorite on
amethyst occurs here.

Shipping is by US Post Office Express Mail unless you request otherwise. When you request a mineral I will let you know the shipping cost.
Packaging: All specimens will be shipped with extreme care. Specimens are wrapped in thin plastic, then cotton, then newspaper secured with rubber bands. Shredded paper is used for padding in the shipping box. With extremely heavy or extremely fragile specimens, double boxing may be used. Specimens will arrive intact!
