Incredible, gemmy, brilliant calcite. This specimen is 5 X 5 cm.

From Dal'negorsk
"The farthest away mining town"

Obtained from Chris Wright.

The term "jewel" comes to mind.

This specimen is from the long-closed Red Dome Gold Mine in North Queensland, Australia.

5 X 6 cm, this has inclusions of some manganese mineral that looks like twigs shot through the gemmy crystal.

Thanks to Doug Tumb

Look at that manganese stalactite embedded in the calcite!!!
