ALCalcite with pyrite inclusions, Linwood Quarry, Buffalo, Iowa - 12.5 X 8 X 6 cm

<>Calcite on very sparkly limestone from Elmwood, Tennessee. The specimen is 25 cm wide X 32 cm tall. The main calcite is 14 X 6.5 cm. The color and clarity of the calcite is superb, the best champagne gold I have seen. The specimen is interested geologically, since it shows two broken pieces of limestone, fresh as if the break had just happened. The pieces are literally glued together by the calcite crystals. Fluorite on Quartz with calcite from the Ontario Gem Amethyst Mine, Dorion, Ontario, Canada. Yellow fluorite is very rare from this occurrence, with only a few really gemmy yellow specimens coming out every few years. The crystals are up to 1 cm and gemmy yellow. The specimen is 10 X 9 X 8 cm and includes a perfect little clear, gemmy calcite scalenohedron in front of the fluorite.
